Jerry was a 15 year old Thoroughbred Rescued by Angela Sommers.  He was abandoned in San Elizario, starved, emaciated, and ill.  His case was seen in several news broadcasts July 12/13, 2011.

We want to thank all of the generous and kind people who donated money and supplies to help save Jerry.  Unfortunately Jerry passed away 2:30 pm on Wednesday July 13, 2011.

Our clinic acted as the collection location for numerous donations.  These donations were used to pay for Jerry's medical expenses (medications and blood testing) as well as special food and salves for his skin wounds.  They also helped pay for this burial.  Any of the remaining donation money will be used to help other abused animals.

We see so many cases like Jerry every day.  Please continue to help these animals survive.  You can give donations of money, food, blankets, towels, etc to your local veterinary clinics and organizations such as Pet's Alive, SNAP, Humane Society, Pet Guardian Angels, and specific breed rescues such as Standard Poodle Rescue, Golden Retriever Resuce, etc.
